Cowboy Mounted Shooting is the fastest growing equestrian sport in the nation. Mounted contestants compete in this fast action timed event using two .45 caliber single action revolvers each loaded with five rounds of specially prepared blank ammunition. These are just like the stage props used in
Hollywood movies.
There are a variety of levels of competition for everyone, ranging from novice levels to the seasoned professional.
Mounted Shooting is like barrel racing with balloons in between the barrels. The rider shoots black powder blank cartridges from .45 caliber pistols, at balloons, and is scored on accuracy and time.

We are planning a busy 2010 with clinics, practices and matches. Several events are already posted on our events page and more events will be added soon.
